Playground Plastic Festival
Plastics are versatile, interesting and one can even argue they are sustainable when used properly. However, the way we have grown to design, use, distribute and dispose the products we make of it, is very problematic. And this is exactly the core focus of Playground Plastic.
We are working on an entire five-day program that explores our current way we perceive and use the material, and offer views on how to make significant change. Therefore we choose to organize our festival program based on the following pillars: refuse & reduce, recycle & redesign and rethink. And everyone is invited to play along.
So Playground Plastics focuses on solutions rather than problems. However, we take the subject of plastics and its consequences anything but lightly. The keynotes, experts and innovators in the program are renowned experts that know what they are talking about.
What you may expect:
The entire festival will take place in a former swimming pool. So imagine a playful and anything but ordinary setting with inspiring keynotes in the big pool area, bubbling break-outs in our former jacuzzis and steamy hot debates in the saunas…
We believe as organizers that we should walk the talk. Therefore, the entire festival itself will be as plastic-free as possible. Say what? Yes, you got it right: together with our partners we are organizing this plastic festival entirely ‘single plastic-free’. And we will take you along in this journey every step and involve you…
We like fairplay. So concerning the content of the program, we choose to refrain from judgements or pointing fingers to anyone or any industry. And seek for answers and solutions instead, together with what we refer to a coalition of the willing!
Check out our program building blocks. Over the course of december we will confirm speakers and get our pricing online!
